Attendees are able to claim 25 CPD points for full attendance at the ALA Conference.

As part of the Cairns Convention Centre’s commitment to improving accessibility and inclusion, they proudly support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme.
The Hidden Disability Program provides visitors who require additional assistance with the support and resources they may need for a pleasant experience. To assist staff in identifying those who may need additional assistance, a sunflower lanyard, badge or wristband can be worn by guests. This discreet symbol can be worn throughout the entire Centre.
Staff at the Cairns Convention Centre are trained on the Hidden Disability Program to ensure that the additional care and consideration you may require is provided. Whether it is guiding you throughout the Centre, providing you with additional information or assisting you through a partial process, they are available to ensure you are looked after.

Children aged one and below can attend the Conference. A parenting room is located in the Ground Level Foyer. This room has change tables, high-chairs, feeding lounges and a microwave. There is also an accessible PWD toilet inside this room.

Lifts and escalators connect all levels of the building.
Lifts are located throughout the Centre and provide direct access from the Car Park to the Business Centre and Mezzanine Level and Arena Foyers. They also connect the Mezzanine and Trinity Levels.
Escalators connect the main entry foyer to Mezzanine and Trinity Levels.
