Kath Turner
ALA Board President
Kath is a registered nurse with over 20 years' experience working in the community in various roles. Kath completed her lymphoedema training in 2021 and went on to open a successful lymphoedema business in the Cairns area. Kath works with a variety of patients, including those who have lymphoedema following cancer treatment.
Kath joined the ALA in 2020, and her previous experience working with for Boards will be helpful as the ALA delivers on its strategic plan. Kath was appointed as a director to fill a casual vacancy in January 2022. Kath was elected Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee following the AGM in May 2022 until May 2025.
When not working, Kath can be found volunteering at the local theatre as a stage manager or indulging in her passion of all things crochet.
Bekk Christensen
ALA Board Vice President
Bekk Christensen is a passionate occupational therapist with a special interest in all things wound care, lymphoedema and vascular management. Bekk has over 16 years’ experience working in rural, metro, acute and community settings in both public and private hospitals across Queensland. Bekk is currently an OT Team Leader at Mater Hospital Brisbane. Bekk has a particular interest in sharing her years of knowledge in lymphoedema, compression and wound care.
When not working, Bekk enjoys family holidays to warm sunny places, reading and being involved in the cookbook supper club.
Stacey Bradshaw
Committee QLD Rep
Stacey is an Occupational Therapist with nearly two decades of clinical experience in lymphoedema. Stacey is the owner of Stacey Bradshaw Lymphoedema Mentor, which provides mentoring support to clinicians working in the field of lymphoedema. Stacey has successfully worked 1:1 with practitioners to build their clinical skills, develop their confidence in managing complex lymphoedema, and to grow their professional networks and relationships.
