Dr Melanie Plinsinga

Dr Melanie Plinsinga is a Cancer Council Queensland Next Generation Research Fellow at Griffith University. A trained exercise scientist with a PhD in chronic pain, she leads a research program focused on cancer survivorship, particularly chronic conditions such as lymphoedema. Her work explores the identification, prevention, and management of symptoms following cancer treatment. Dr Plinsinga has published 40 peer-reviewed papers, secured over $1.2 million in research funding, and received 16 national and international awards, including recognition as the 2024 Young Lymphologist by the European Society of Lymphology.
